Passing on the Good News

Isn't any invention just a discovery of certain realities God established before the foundation of the world? Isn't every inventor just a vessel through whom the LORD chose to reveal something hidden - until the time of His choosing, to accomplish whatever He has in mind?

Thousands come to this site seeking information on teaching bike riding. Few Christians get the chance to witness to so many. We must not miss this opportunity to confess our faith and pass on the Good News. LORD's intent with this page may be for just one specific person. Could it be you?

If you know about Jesus Christ but never paid enough attention to discover who He truly is and what He has already done for your life here and the hereafter, we hope this page will cause you to pause and ponder. How can we know for sure if God loves us and what will happen to us?

Deciding logically in one minute if Christ's claim to be God affects you

Even atheists agree that Jesus, a real historic person, was an exceptional human being and an insightful moral teacher. But, could He have also been a lunatic and/or a liar? If He was not delusional and He wasn't a liar, He was and is God. Here is how one gets there...

Jesus said He was God. If He didn't lie and He wasn't delusional what he said must be true. Unless, of course, the Bible is lying about what Jesus said. But that Jesus said these things were also recorded by His enemies and His non-believing contemporaries, and Roman officials.

While there were many doubts in 18th and 19th centuries about the Bible, that it is an extremely reliable historical document is no longer challenged by any honest historian. The doubts have been and are being eliminated one by one through several objective methods.

Typical misconceptions that block one from simply accepting God's free gift

The most crucial step to receiving God's free gift is so easy. But fallen human nature convinces one, through what seems to be wisdom, to pass up God's incredible offer of Grace because it seems too good to be true! Humans want to put their prideful spin on what God offers:

  • Skeptical of God's offer: Surely eternal life is not something you can receive so easily. Nothing is free. You have to work hard to earn God's acceptance.

  • All spiritual paths lead to the same one-and-only God. It does not matter which path you choose as long as you choose one and believe in it.

  • If the path you are on isn't working, try another. If you keep searching you will find one that's right for you, but you have to be good to be allowed to get on any path to God.

  • To be good enough for God you have to work hard to overcome all of the bad you have done. But there is no way to know for sure if and when you will or have been accepted.

  • I read the Bible and pray every day. I believe in Jesus. I am a good person. I hope I will go to heaven. It is arrogant to think that I will with absolute certainty. Nobody can know.

  • In Christianity you cannot see anything to look up to and worship. There is no object or image you can use or adore. It is like eating an imaginary dinner.

  • If something feels right, it is right. Besides there are no moral absolutes. Everything is relative and situational. Sometimes doing the wrong thing is the right thing to do.

  • Just keep looking. Don't give up. You will find the answer. Don't fall for that easy offer from Jesus. He was a great teacher but his teachings about hell were just scare tactics.
Creating God in one's own image - Replacing His word with one's own

If Jesus is God and has revealed Himself in such a personal way with complete instructions on what we should do to avoid eternal life in hell and have eternal life with Him, would it be sane not to listen? It will be insane to listen only if one doesn't believe He is God. The human spin is:

  • It just doesn't make sense that Jesus would say He is The Way, The Truth and The Life. That is so egotistical and bigoted. That is not Jesus. He must have meant something else.

  • If Jesus were the only way to God I would know. Bible is a good book but not everything in it is true. It was written by men in another time, in another culture. We have evolved.

  • Heaven and hell are human concepts to make people behave properly for the protection of society. But if there is indeed a heaven we will all go there no matter what.

  • God is a good God. There can be no hell because a good and just God will not condemn anyone forever to a place like hell. Who buys this stuff about hell these days anyway?

  • I am a good person. I try not to sin. Sin is relative anyway. I cannot believe God will send someone like me to hell just because I don't believe I or others need Jesus Christ.

  • I do not believe that invisible forces affect us mentally or physically. Even if there are such forces, they can only affect us if we believe they can. It is all psychological.

  • I am an intelligent person. Satan is a personification of evil, not an invisible being. If Satan were behind these wise thoughts in my head I would know. I am not that easily fooled.

  • I appreciate your concern. But my faith is between me and my God. Bible is the Word of God but written by men. You cannot go by that alone. That's why God gave us brains.
