Footnote 2

2 A Management Scientist, Reginald Joules formulated Pedal Magic by combining scientific principles such as centripetal force from physics and operant conditioning from behavioral science. But, the customer does not have to be concerned with any of the science. Pedal Magic video explains the effortless-but-powerful method in a way that is easy for adults as well as children to understand and execute.

Joules developed the process in 1984 to teach his daughters to ride. He also taught his wife to ride the same evening, all in a span of about 10-15 minutes. And, that would have been the end of it. But, following an unforeseen sequence of events in the Fall of 1995, unexpected interest from NBC's Denver affiliate 9 News, and a friend's inspiration for a name that turned out to be just the ticket for children too afraid to learn to ride, the Joules family launched Pedal Magic in April 1996.
